| 04.01.11 Superstar Aamir Khan's wife and debutant director Kiran Rao, launched two promos of her upcoming film DHOBI GHAT featuring Monica Dogra (Shai) and Kriti Malhotra (Yasmin). The event kick started with the interesting promos which played one after the other in English as well as Hindi. Kiran Rao wished everyone a very Happy New year. She was pleased to introduce both her actresses to everyone.The promos featured Shai and Yasmin and how these two characters are a part of the story and the city of Mumbai. It showcased little glimpse of their acting talent to which Kiran said, "Both the actresses have given heart felt and natural performance." She elaborately expressed, "I am extremely happy and filled with pride to present you Monica Dogra and Kriti Malhotra. Two women who had no intentions to act or become actresses. Monica is a singer and Kriti has been a part of films but only behind the scenes. They fit in the characters of Shai and Yasmin perfectly well, so I am glad they are a part of my film." It ended on a musical note as Monica Dogra sang one of her song, on Kiran Rao's request, for everyone to enjoy. |
